As part of the Momentum Program at CSIC, I am developing a comprehensive portfolio to document my learning, skills, and research progress throughout this initiative. This micro-credential, introduced as a formal training activity, was first presented to us during the inaugural Momentum meeting on February 26, 2025, at CFMAT in Madrid. The portfolio serves as a dynamic record of my journey, highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of my work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, multi-omics, and forest genetic improvement.

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Population Genetics and Evolution Lab at the Institute of Forest Sciences (ICIFOR-INIA-CSIC, Spain). My research focuses on developing genomic prediction models tailored for forest trees. By integrating multi-omics data with AI-driven methodologies, my work aims to predict key phenotypes related to productivity, pest and pathogen resistance, and tolerance to abiotic stresses such as drought. The ultimate goal is to contribute to the design of efficient and sustainable forest genetic improvement programs, facilitating knowledge transfer to both the public sector (MITECO, Spain) and private industry.
This portfolio is more than a personal repository; it is a structured and evolving reflection of my progress. It captures not only the technical skills and methodologies I acquire but also the key deliverables of my research, including models, datasets, and analytical tools developed during the program. By providing direct access to these resources, the portfolio enhances knowledge sharing and fosters collaboration within the scientific community.
Through this initiative, I aim to showcase the impact of AI and advanced digital tools in modern forestry research. The Momentum Program at CSIC is an excellent opportunity to refine my expertise, contribute to cutting-edge science, and engage with a network of researchers pushing the boundaries of AI in biological sciences. This portfolio will serve as a testament to my growth and a resource for future researchers navigating similar interdisciplinary fields.
